‘’M4H is an extremely valuable asset to the yard.  As well as being able to release tense and knotted muscles and the associated connective tissue, massage also releases build up of toxins within the muscles.

Of even more benefit to our work are the gait analysis and correction, performance enhancement and rehabilitative massage programs’’

Sandra Joyes—BD Affiliated with Oliver

“By Oliver being more supple and freer his attitude to his training has become more giving, which has made his transition from successful Novice to competitive Elementry”

Natalie Banks - Trainer & Competitor

“I have used Massage4Horses for almost 3yrs  now and I have been astonished at not only how well they have helped my horses but also at the excellent and friendly service given. After using Massage4 Horses the first time, my horses moved better and were generally happier to handle on a day to day basis. Not only is the treatment excellent for enabling me to get the most out of my horses whilst training but also it is an excellent way to relax my horses after big competitions where they can become stressed and anxious. I have been so impressed with the results that I now recommend my clients to use them too”

Heather Anderson & Lizzie.

‘’It was two years ago on New Years Day when Lizzie, my Connemara, lay down outside her stable in pain.  The vet initially diagnosed azaturia, but blood test discounted this and I was told to give her a few days off then start to work her again.

I did this, but she often felt stiff behind and once went lame while schooling.  She was taken off work, although I continued to walk her out in hand each day.  My chiropractor checked her out, but after a couple of sessions and discussion with the vet it was decided to take her to the practice for tests.  Although her x-rays showed no problem with her spine or her joints (they were all in excellent shape), the thermal images suggested something was definitely amiss.  She was taken off all work including walking out in hand and began a series of fortnightly sessions with the practice osteopath.  This involved an hour of travel too and from the practice, sedation and treatment. It was stressful, time consuming and expensive, but the worst of it was that it seemed to have little or no effect and my ‘live on a blade of grass’ Connie ballooned to 568 kg, frequently had colic after her treatment and was generally in a sad way.  By the end of the summer it was proclaimed that further treatment would be inadvisable.  I had to accept that she would be nothing more than just  light hack and frankly even that seemed unlikely.  I was told I could start to walk out in hand, but was advised to do nothing an a circle.  It was like dragging along a great white whale; she was so overweight, totally unfit and lazy.  I was desperate and was so worried about her getting laminitis.  A friend recommended Massage 4 Horses.  I had nothing to loose and decided this would be a last ditch attempt at retrieving my much loved little horse.  We never looked back.  Pip turned up at the yard, assessed her, massaged her and lunged her in walk for a few minutes. It was stress free (in fact Lizzie seemed to enjoy it) and was over in less than an hour.  She immediately looked better and Pip was confident that she could at least improve her current condition.  We carried out her instructions to the letter, building up the exercise by a minute at each end of every day.  After the next visit we started trotting and slowly, slowly, Lizzie started to move more easily until eventually she could be ridden.  Each day she did a tiny bit more and started to lose weight. Pip visited every few weeks. By November Lizzie was able to do a good long hack in all paces and had become fitter and thinner.  A friend who had competed her successfully in the past wanted to try schooling her again.  I was full of trepidation and doubt, but Pip said she could try it. We increased the work only very gradually as instructed.  We took her to her first Prelim dressage competition in February where she came 2nd and 6th and at her next outing in April she won a big local event.  I was thrilled. By the end of Spring she weighed 490 kg and looked fitter than ever before. Pip visited occasionally to check all was well and was delighted by her progress. Lizzie continued winning various classes and events at local shows throughout the summer, performing so well that one judge suggested we should try Novice classes. We did and have been surprising successful!’’
